Seattle trip

We had the best time in Seattle; the very best.  The weather was welcoming and warm for us, and Kay and Harold are the consummate hosts. Conversing with them as we ate their excellent meals was one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip.  Having Grandma Nelson visiting with us too made us feel like the luckiest Spring Break-ers in the world!

Here are some of the highlights:
Boeing Flight Museum
Inside Air Force One
First time on a plane! (or, half a plane)
Big and Little
Airplane and Helicopter pilots
International Space Station module

Seattle Aquarium
Huge wall aquarium
Junie gets eaten by an octopus
So many starfish! (We could touch them, too!)

Space Needle/Seattle Center
Dancing fountain
Lovely gardens
We were so excited to be able to go up in it and look down! (and a beautiful sunny day for it!)

Ivar's/Waterfront

Letting the seagulls snatch fries right out of our hands
Cheese-making shop
Downtown library

Tacoma Conservatory/Museum of Glass
Malachi loves to gather flowers for Daisy's hair

Glass sculptures

Skagit Valley
So pastoral
Amazing daffodil fields

Hancock Museum/Library/Bed and Breakfast/House of Delights
Ride in the Model T

Easter Egg Hunt in the yard
Easter family picture (2/7 scowling, 1/7 squinting, 4/7 smiling=pretty good)

So Gabe (my 3-year-old) is really jealous of this vacation. "What is that building? Why is it so pretty? Why can't we go there?" By the way, I want to visit that library--WOW. I am so glad you guys had a fun family trip--and very grateful you didn't fall off the space needle. My vertigo makes me nervous for you, even just looking at the pictures. Thank you, thank you for coming back down afterwards . . .

I had to dip over here, though I usually limit myself to light, because once having talked to those children, I am compelled to secure a hit of them every so often. I told Gin, I'd line up at five in the morning to be related to those kids.
