Red Barn 2015

We always love our visits to the Pumpkin Patch at the Red Barn. We went this year for Abraham's birthday activity. Can you believe it's our ninth year of this tradition? (Here are posts #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in this series.)
Biggest and littlest
We ate apple cider donuts, of course. Very important.
The tractor races are always popular. I'm not sure if Teddy quite approves of what's going on, though.
There was a corn maze to go through this year. There were little stations along the way where you had to do crayon rubbings of different animal tracks. Daisy and Junie really liked that.
Grabber!
I think Marigold might have enjoyed the slide most of all this year. She laughed and laughed and laughed.
Of course, she enjoyed going down double just as much as going alone.
Junie loved the slide too.
Theodore liked fiddling with this little paper, very intently.
It was such a beautiful, warm night. We hardly even needed our jackets.
Bouncing with excitement
A pair of sun dogs!
Goldie worked very hard at holding her pumpkin safely during the tractor ride back to the car.
Heavy!
It was another great year at the Red Barn. See you next year, Pumpkin Patch!

California Trip

We had such a good time having one more day at Disneyland with the last of our passes. The boys rode all the fast roller coasters, and so did Daisy! Here is Sebby telling me excitedly about the Tower of Terror.
We were so glad Allison and Ben could come with us. Everyone wanted to be the one that got to hold Allison or Benjamin's hand!
Goldie just LOVED the spinning ladybug ride!
Teddy bore the heat with patience, and gasped at the occasional squirt from one of our misting fans. Lots of people stopped to exclaim over how cute he was. I wanted to take a picture of one large group of ladies, six or seven of them, who all gathered around him in a semicircle to coo and goo at him. He smiled and cooed back obligingly.
Bumper bugs
These Baymax balloons lit up at night. We loved seeing them.

Sleepy Theo at the end of the day
The hot weather was perfect for the beach. Daisy and Ben were so cute together.
And on Saturday, we went to the air show and saw the Blue Angels (among other things). They were so fun to watch!
Afterwards we played on the field while we waited for the crowds to disperse. The twins LOVED playing ring-around-the-rosy. Then we drove home back down the coast, and ate a late dinner of fish and chips. What a fun trip! We love visiting Philip and Allison!
