Colored leaves

From our Sunday drive yesterday:

(Note donut on arm)

We love Utah in the Fall!

More suits

[My boys habitually smell flowers.  When they see a flower, they smell it.]

I found some pictures of the older boys in this Sunday Suit as well (click to enlarge).  Aren't they cute?  It makes me kind of sad I won't be able to dress Daisy in it. :)

Sunday Suit

Here are some pictures of Malachi all dressed up for church.

I love this little Sunday suit, which I got at Kid-to-Kid when Abe was little, and every boy has worn it since.  I think they look like such sweet little men in it.

Rainy Day

We've been enjoying the late-summer rainstorms the last few days, especially Malachi, who never seemed to get tired of the fact that it was "aining . . . up-dare . . . ain-dops-come-down-on-head, Mommy!!!"

My favorite part was sitting on the porch watching the boys play . . . and holding this:

Allies and dresses

Now that Abraham is at school all day, Sebby and Malachi play together a lot more.  Sebby still likes to dictate what they do, but I notice him being gentler and more willing to help Malachi rather than force him to do things.  They make lots of elaborate creations together.  And as you may know, Sebby, rather than pretending to be people, pretends to be objects.  He is always pretending he is a sprinkler, a windmill, an ice cream truck, a dryer vent, etc.  Malachi, although I doubt he has any idea what they're doing half the time, enthusiastically joins in.  He loves being a big boy like his brothers!

Here is Daisy in two of the cute dresses my mom has made for her.  Daisy hasn't even really been anywhere yet, certainly nowhere to dress up for, but I dress her in all her pretty dresses anyway, because she just looks so CUTE in them!

Evening swim

She didn't actually get in the pool, but I couldn't resist putting Daisy in this little swimming suit Beth handed down to us. :)

This is getting out of hand

I was wrong when I said he had reached critical donut mass before.

First Grade

Here is Abraham, about to embark on his first day of first grade.  He told me afterwards that "lots of people liked my panda bear lunch bag."  I was glad to hear that, since I was afraid maybe his sweet little panda would pale next to Power Rangers or Spiderman or whatever it is that's cool these days.  He loves his teacher already.  (She's Irish, so she's got this great lilting voice, and she's so sweet with the kids---I love her too.)
